THE LOVELY LAURENS

Last week, I had the most amazing opportunity to attend the book launch for Ricky Lauren's new book The Hamptons: Food, Family and History.  I was lucky enough to tag along with talented designers Ashley Whittaker and Holly Hollingsworth Phillips for the very glamorous and memorable event.

It is the perfect read to start off your summer and is full of recipes, charming anecdotes of the Lauren family and history of the Hamptons. Each chapter is devoted to one of the towns where the family has resided over the past forty years; Southampton, Amagansett, Easthampton and Montauk. This book captures the essence of what the Hamptons are all about and what has attracted artists, authors, architects, and creative minds to the area for generations.

From the moment we entered the Ralph Lauren Flagship Women's and Home Boutique on 72nd and Madison, we were greeted with hospitality.   Hors-d'oeuvres and cocktails were passed on silver trays that came from the recipes in the book.

I had not been in the building since it has been renovated and it was absolutely breathtaking. The architectural details, interior details, lighting, accessories, flowers and clothes were beautiful. The guests reflected their surroundings perfectly...
